Short version: your files never leave your computer.

Files you open in the tool

When you choose a file, your browser reads it locally. Checking, fixing, splitting and downloading all happen inside the browser tab. File contents, including names, addresses, SSNs, EINs and amounts, are never sent to this website or anyone else. The page's Content Security Policy blocks it from sending data to any server except the cookieless Cloudflare page-view counter, which receives no file data.

What is saved in your browser

If you leave "Remember payer details" on, your own business details, but never recipient data, are saved in your browser's local storage so you do not retype them. If you add an IRS template, its header row is saved the same way. You can clear both by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Server logs and analytics

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as IP address and pages requested, to deliver and protect the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies. None of this includes the contents of your files.
